The Hawks Netball Club

The South-West Netball (Football) competition began in 2007, with Hawks Netball fielding two teams. This league has proven extremely popular in the South-West, and has seen the return of many players to the sport who are keen to compete at the highest level available within our region.

This competition also provides a pathway for our junior players who, before its inception, had no alternatives after leaving the competition run by the Margaret River Netball Association.

Our greatest on-court success came in 2011, when the A Reserve team completed an undefeated season and capped it off with a convincing grand final win over HBL. The incredible support from the Football Club and players made the victory even more memorable and created a lasting moment for all involved.

In 2012 we stepped up to the Open division, reached finals, and while we could not replicate the previous year’s result, it was a remarkable achievement in our first season at that level. It reflected the determination, commitment, and character of the playing group.

In recent seasons, we have also proudly fielded teams in junior competitions, providing a vital pathway for local players to transition into senior netball. This pathway allows juniors to develop their skills, test their commitment, and remain involved in the sport.

Over the last few years, we have continued to build and strengthen our netball club and are now in an exciting position to field five teams each season: Under 16s, Under 18s, Reserves, League, and Masters. This growth highlights the strength of our program and the depth of local talent, and the future is incredibly bright for our netballers.

We welcome everyone involved in the coming season of the South West Netball Football League and are excited to see our teams representing the Hawks on court. It is great to see new faces joining the club, and we hope everyone feels welcome as we look forward to what lies ahead.

Good times are ahead.

Our philosophy is based on providing a team environment where participation , inclusiveness, player development and enjoyment are paramount to our success.

Success however is not measured solely by winning.

Our success is also measured by:

  • Personal development and growth

  • Development of individual and team netball skills

  • Development of team spirit

  • Acceptance of team mates and working in a cohesive manner

  • Continuing participation in netball

  • Acceptance of club decisions

  • Contribution to the community

We ask that you keep this in mind during the coming season.
